The Size of a Cow – Sharing my Story at Ignite Cardiff

A couple of years ago, I was privileged to be able to take to the stage in the Glee Club in Cardiff to share my story of addiction and recovery at Ignite Cardiff.

It was a wonderful experience, and one I hope to get another chance to do again.

This was the first time I spoke publicly about my recovery. I found it to be a tremendouly liberating experience.

Here is the talk, and below are the slides from the talk. As you can see, the rock music theme was very prevalent, I had, and still have, a song for every mood and emotion!

Ignite are having an epic celebration event at the Millenium Centre on International Women’s Day.  I am not able to be there, but wish them tremendous success and look forward to the next event I am able to attend.

Esther Nagle

After 20 years of alcohol addiction that she couldn’t and wouldn’t acknowledge, Esther was forced to face all her demons at once when she had a breakdown. This led her to Yoga Teacher training, where she learned to bring her demons out, to talk to them, to soothe them, forgive them and loosen their grip on her life. On October 12 2014, she decided she never wanted to feel the pain and shame of a hangover again, and, by living the yoga she was taught, she has been sober ever since. She is now a Yoga teacher, recovery mentor, author and host of the Sober Living Rocks podcast
